Indian WellsThe City of Indian Wells has extended its contract with Tripepi Smith for city-wide communications services that focus on resident and business engagement for an additional five years. Tripepi Smith’s work will continue to revolve around helping the City execute its communications, outreach and transparency efforts.

“Tripepi Smith has consistently delivered high-quality writing, impressive visuals and constructive insights that benefit our residents,” said Chris Freeland, city manager. “Indian Wells wants to ensure we communicate with both residents and businesses, and Tripepi Smith has helped improve and heighten our outreach and engagement efforts for each of those groups. Extending the contract was a logical decision.”

A number of Tripepi Smith team members will be tapped for project management, social media management, graphic design support, website content updates, quarterly dashboard metrics reports, news articles, press releases, website technical support, on-site training sessions, editorial calendar maintenance and newsletter production, among other services.

“The City embodies a high-quality life and experience, and we work to ensure our communication efforts match those high standards. The City Staff are a great partner and share our aspirations for making Indian Wells communications the best they can be,” said Tripepi Smith President Ryder Todd Smith. “We are grateful to extend this partnership with Indian Wells so we can continue to help the City tell the story of its community and work with the awesome team at city hall.”

Indian Wells first looked to Tripepi Smith in 2018 to complete an express Communications Assessment that provided significant insights into how the City communicated with its residents. This led to the City enlisting Tripepi Smith later that year to provide retainer communications and marketing support.

Since then, Tripepi Smith has equipped Indian Wells with a Social Media Policy, Financial Primer, renovated mass email system and executed its informative eNewsletters as well as supported staff on social media and strategic outreach. During the first year of engagement, Tripepi Smith also produced the 2019 State of the City video that featured drone footage to showcase the City’s beautiful landscapes.

In 2020, Tripepi Smith looks forward to producing a public safety announcement video and the City’s 2020 State of the City video, in addition to its ongoing communications support
