City of Indian WellsThe City of Indian Wells enlisted Tripepi Smith for communications and marketing support effective October 2018. As a starting point for the engagement, Tripepi Smith is collaborating with city staff to craft a Social Media Policy, revamp the resident-focused email system, execute eNewsletters, manage social media and provide other communications support as needed.

Tripepi Smith’s Ryder Todd Smith, Cameron Grimm, Sara Madsen and Bria Balliet have been working with Indian Wells staff to incorporate these initiatives into the City’s communications routine.

“Tripepi Smith delivered a helpful Express Communications Assessment earlier this year that laid out a roadmap to enhance our community outreach and engagement efforts. Adding Tripepi Smith as a force multiplier to our efforts will expand social media and marketing efforts to keep our residents informed and sustain our transparency efforts in Indian Wells,” said Wade McKinney, City Manager. “Indian Wells is a world destination with amazing facilities and a high quality lifestyle. Calling on Tripepi Smith will help us execute on best practices while being efficient using a contracting model that the City has leveraged for decades. It’s been a pleasure working with the team thus far, and I’m excited about where this partnership is taking our community.”

Tripepi Smith will co-manage the City’s social media, create quarterly dashboard reports, provide graphic design support, create two news articles per month, supplement support for the City’s website, manage an editorial calendar for City stories and newsletters, publish press releases and host weekly check-in calls.

“Indian Wells faces the challenge of communicating with two distinct audiences: residents and tourists. Our work is focused on the residents and driving ideas and content that will inform the public to help them get the most from the Indian Wells lifestyle,” said Ryder. “We’re establishing several processes so there’s a cadence with the City’s outreach efforts with residents. Indian Wells has a lot to offer locals and the rest of us in Southern California, and it’s exciting to work with the City’s staff to showcase this amazing community.”
