Culver City Expands Contract with TS for Recreation Guide Updates

Culver City SignCulver City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (Culver City PRCS) has further engaged Tripepi Smith for graphic design services for Culver City Living, Culver City PRCS’ quarterly recreation guide. The new agreement solidifies and expands on the work Tripepi Smith has already delivered in designing four prior Culver City Living editions. Tripepi Smith has enjoyed over three years of partnership with the City Manager’s Office.

“After nearly a year of work on this 20-plus page community newsletter and over three years of work spanning graphic design, content production, photography, videography, crisis communications, social media–you name it–we’ve got a strong grasp of Culver City’s voice and staff intent,” said Director Jon Barilone, who serves as Culver City’s lead account manager at Tripepi Smith. “Culver City Living is just one example of how the City goes to great lengths to keep Culver City residents and business owners informed about City activities and opportunities to engage.”

Team Tripepi Smith’s Kjerstin Wingert, Bria Balliet, Melanie James and Sara Madsen have all contributed to past editions of Culver City Living. Kjerstin created the original updated version of the guide, which is now the model for future editions.

“As each edition passes through our hands, the guide gets even better for the community,” Kjerstin commented. “Because the document contains so much information–dozens of classes and photos–we’re constantly seeking to make it easier to digest and to identify items of interest. In general, our designers view our work from the vantage point of our clients’ audience. In this case, we strive to ensure parents and children can easily build a comprehensive view of the activities and resources available for their enjoyment.”
