TS Delivers Video Series for the California JPIA
Tripepi Smith has produced three videos for the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (California JPIA). The series highlights the Authority’s history, services and benefits for member agencies and the premiere of its brand new website.
“The California Joint Powers Insurance Authority is a member-focused agency dedicated to helping cities manage risk, reduce costs and optimize operations through proactive training, policy advice and rigorous legal counsel. These videos are an important asset to showcase our services and explain how our work benefits members.”
Team Tripepi Smith managed the video creation process from start to finish between July and October 2019, creating storyboards, conducting interviews, filming and editing content for a polished deliverable. Videos include testimonial interviews from members–including Mayor of the City of La Palma Marshall Goodman and City Manager of the City of Lakewood Thaddeus McCormack–that highlight the unique benefits that the California JPIA provides to members.
One video tells the story of the Authority since its founding. Another features member testimonials about JPIA membership benefits. A third video provides a one-and-a-half minute introduction to the Authority’s new website and related features. The video includes animated screenshots to help members navigate the site, which went live on Nov. 1, 2019.

Tripepi Smith’s partnership with the Authority started in the spring of 2018 when the Authority engaged the firm to produce its 40th Anniversary Book. Following that project, the Authority selected Tripepi Smith to provide ongoing marketing and communications support in January 2019, including content creation, social media co-management, newsletter distribution, photography, graphic design and video projects.
