City of Tracy Calls on Tripepi Smith for Cable Channel Branding

  |   News   |   No comment

As the world shifted towards virtual forums in response to the pandemic, the City of Tracy ensured that their online meetings were high-quality by upgrading the City’s cable channel and the City Council Chamber’s recording equipment and systems. To go along with these improvements, the City tapped the Tripepi Smith design team to create graphics to brand their channel.

“The City of Tracy is committed to keeping our residents informed on City business despite having limited in-person services. By renovating our Council Chambers with the latest broadcasting technology and updating our cable channel with professional branding, we enhanced our engagement platforms and are now delivering a better experience for our community,” said Jenny Haruyama, City Manager of the City of Tracy. “Tripepi Smith is a strong partner for the City of Tracy. Their understanding of local government and design continues to bring tremendous value to our comprehensive communication and marketing efforts.”

Senior Business Analyst Melanie James led the effort by designing title cards and lower-thirds that fell in line with the City’s branding guidelines. These graphics are displayed before and during the meeting broadcasts and rebroadcasts to clearly identify the content as official City of Tracy information.

“The City of Tracy is a great example of a public agency effectively adapting to better serve their community, and we are excited to be a part of the team that is improving the overall production quality of the public meetings. Tracy is making major investments in the community across an array of areas, and it is nice to see the visuals keep up with the other major improvements in the city,” said Melanie.

Tripepi Smith routinely provides cable channel management and council chamber video recording services for public agencies. Its list of clients for these service areas include City of Fullerton, City of Bellflower and City of Huntington Beach.
