City IT Group Advances with TSA

  |   News   |   No comment

misacTSAWebTripepi Smith & Associates (TSA) and the Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC) have expanded TSA’s professional services engagement. TSA has previously performed a rebranding for the organization that included logo redesign, collateral material production and a facelift to their current website. The expanded engagement provides ongoing professional services to match the sophistication of MISAC’s recent organizational rebrand.

As a result of this new partnership, MISAC hopes to increase membership, better convey the mission of the organization, provide more member benefits and enhance their brand recognition in the local government space.

The TSA team specializes in local government communications work and has established relationships with many associations similar to MISAC such as the California City Management Foundation, California Utilities Executive Management Association and the California Contract Cities Association. This experience gives TSA the right blend of connections and understanding to enhance the profile of MISAC. TSA will, on an ongoing basis, draft content for the quarterly newsletter, publish a quarterly “Presidents Message”, establish and manage social media channels, and provide website content maintenance for the MISAC YourMembership platform.

MISAC President Brian Lewton commented on the partnership: “Through our technical and professional  development programs, local government association outreach, and sharing of best practices, MISAC and its members strive to highlight the importance of IT to all local government stakeholders.  While we have definitely made progress in those areas, we have not been as proactive in sharing some of those successes outside of our organization.  We chose Tripepi Smith to increase awareness of MISAC programs and to help cement MISAC as the premiere public sector IT association in California.”

TSA senior business analyst Karalee Watson is the account lead on the engagement. “MISAC has so many great stories to tell and great members to talk about. It is clear that MISAC is a must-have on any city technology staffers membership list.”

“Our team believes in supporting the mission of local government, and we are very happy to round out our portfolio of clients with an IT association such as MISAC,” said Ryder Todd Smith, President of Tripepi Smith. “We have a diverse set of association clients who each benefit from our deep involvement in a range of local governments association and practices.”

MISAC was founded in 1980 and serves information systems professionals working in local government. The organization seeks to educate members and provide a forum for collaboration across agencies to share best practices. MISAC also seeks to advance the municipal IT profession and increase awareness with other local government professional organizations.
