TS to Attend CCCA City Managers’ Summit

CCCA CM SummitOn Thursday, Nov. 15, Tripepi Smith will join the California Contract Cities Association (CCCA) at its 2nd Annual City Managers’ Summit.

President Ryder Todd Smith and Junior Business Analysts Saara Lampwalla and Karen Villaseñor will be in attendance to participate in the discussions, meet with clients and support both CCCA and the University of Southern California City/County Management Fellowship (USC CMF), who is hosting a panel as a part of the event.

The Summit will start at 8 a.m. at the University of Southern California (USC) Radisson Hotel, where city managers from throughout Southern California will travel for a full day of networking and learning.

Filled with educational sessions from “Pioneering Power Policy” to “Climate Action Plans,” the Summit will feature speakers from USC Price, Engie, Southern California Edison, Kosmont Companies and the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG).

CCCA will also welcome Olivia D. Nelson, former public affairs director for the Air Force and current chair of the Aerospace Studies Department and commander of AFROTC Det 060, as its keynote speaker. She will will discuss her lessons from the field, laying out the links that underpin a strong leader: communication competence, credibility and leadership.

Additionally, USC CMF has collaborated with CCCA to host a discussion on the evolving role of women in the profession.
