California JPIA Again Taps Tripepi Smith for Capstone Award Video Production
The California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (California JPIA) has again partnered with Tripepi Smith to produce a series of four videos honoring its 2024 Capstone Award finalists: City of Rolling Hills Estates Assistant City Manager Alexa Davis, City of Laguna Niguel Human Resources Manager Dorna Farhadi, Rossmoor Community Services District Arborist Mary Kingman and City of Duarte Parks and Recreation Director Manuel Enriquez.
The Capstone Award, recognizing candidates from the Authority’s member organizations who excel in the practice of risk management, is presented at the California JPIA’s annual Risk Management Educational Forum to an individual who exemplifies best practices by working to support risk management efforts, develop loss control programs and coordinate systems that support their agency’s risk management efforts.
Inspired by the Forum’s theme—“Risk Management Confidential”—the film noir-influenced videos feature interviews highlighting the finalists’ achievements and praise from their peers. The videos showcase scenery from each finalist’s agency and “behind-the-scenes” footage of the finalists at work managing risk for their agencies.
“We are grateful for this chance to highlight a valuable employee of the District’s and to reflect on our risk management work. We thank the Authority and Tripepi Smith for the video shoot. The team’s interaction and professionalism was top-notch,” said Joe Mendoza, General Manager of the Rossmoor Community Services District.
Senior Business Analyst Kaetlyn Hernandez and Business Analyst Cailyn Thompson oversaw the video production process. This included conducting interviews, creating storyboards and providing direction and feedback. Junior Videographer Daniel Ceruti led all filming and editing efforts. Daniel attended all video shoots, contributed his creative vision and edited the final products.
“The California JPIA is dedicated to serving and honoring its members. Our goal was to highlight the capabilities and passion of the finalists in the videos we created,” said Kaetlyn. “It was an honor to collaborate with the Authority for the fourth consecutive year to produce videos that celebrate the hardworking members supporting risk management in their communities.”
Tripepi Smith provides ongoing marketing and communications support for the California JPIA.
