California JPIA’s Risk Management Educational Forum Sponsorship and Attendance

CA JPIA RMEF 2024Tripepi Smith President Ryder Smith, Principal Katherine Griffiths, APR, Senior Business Analyst Kaetlyn Hernandez and Business Analyst Cailyn Thompson will attend the 29th Annual California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (California JPIA) Risk Management Educational Forum, from October 9–11 in Indian Wells.

The Forum offers a premier educational platform for California JPIA members to gain insights from subject matter experts and share experiences. This year’s event will cover topics such as legal liability, workers’ compensation, employment law, public safety, organizational thinking, governance and legislation. Tripepi Smith is proud to support this effort as a Redwood Sponsor.

The Tripepi Smith conference team will attend various sessions to research and develop a series of thought leadership articles for the Authority’s monthly member newsletter, while also networking and learning alongside elected officials, municipal staff and other public sector risk management partners.

In addition, Tripepi Smith Director Mike Egan will serve as moderator of a panel discussion, “The Verdict Is In: Strategies to Promote Collaborative Relationships Between Elected Officials.” City of Paramount Councilmember Peggy Lemons and City of Rolling Hills Estates Council Member Frank Zerunyan will share why collaboration is important for organizational success and risk management best practices, as well as the attributes of successful teams and exceptional city councils.
