California JPIA Taps Tripepi Smith for Capstone Award Video Production
The California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (California JPIA) tapped Tripepi Smith to produce four videos for the 2021 CJPIA Capstone Award Finalists. This year’s finalists were City of Big Bear Lake’s Rachel Bowman, City of Lake Elsinore’s Shannon Buckley, City of Laguna Niguel’s Dorna Farhadi and City of La Cañada Flintridge’s Arabo Parseghian. The videos highlight interviews detailing the four finalists’ achievements as well as words of affirmation from their peers.
“The Capstone Award recognizes outstanding individuals that work tirelessly behind the scenes,” said Chief Executive Officer Jon Shull. “The Authority relies on municipal risk managers like them to effectively carry out our mission in forging strong partnerships with members. We are grateful to Tripepi Smith for showcasing their important stories.”
The Capstone Award is an annual award received by a California JPIA member who best represents risk management policies and practices in local government. Recipients of this award are able to efficiently coordinate their agency’s risk management efforts, mitigate loss, develop programs to decrease risk exposures for their agencies and influence the community in safety.
Parseghian, division manager for the City of La Cañada Flintridge, was selected from among the four finalists for his exemplary risk management efforts and received the Capstone Award on October 7 at the California JPIA’s 26th Annual Risk Management Educational Forum in San Diego.
Principal Katherine Griffiths, with support from Business Analyst Sara Madsen, managed the video creation process for all four videos by conducting interviews, creating storyboards, filming content and editing the final videos. The videos include scenery from each of the finalist’s agencies, as well as “behind-the-scenes” footage of each finalist in their workspace.
“The California JPIA cares deeply about serving and honoring their members. We strived to portray how capable and passionate the finalists are in the videos we created,” said Katherine. “It was a pleasure to collaborate with the Authority to create videos that honored the hardworking members who support risk management in their communities.”
