Jennifer Fitzgerald to Join Panel on Broadband Access for MMASC’s Virtual Annual Conference
On October 27, 2021 at 1:30 p.m., Tripepi Smith Director Jennifer Fitzgerald will present on the panel “Meeting Your Community’s Broadband Access Needs” at the Municipal Management Association of Southern California (MMASC) Virtual Annual Conference.
Joined by Jake Whitaker, Manager of Grant Writing and Research at Renne Public Policy Group, and Monica Webb, Senior Director at Ting Internet, Jennifer will draw on her experience as a public servant to explain why broadband should be a top priority for cities. A former mayor and councilmember, she will offer a detailed overview of considerations for elected officials navigating broadband implementation in their communities.
“Constituents are demanding broadband connectivity because in today’s digital economy, the internet is part of our basic infrastructure,” said Jennifer. “I look forward to hearing from my co-presenters about the ways in which state dollars and private industry are supporting this effort.”
