Barbara Beran Joins Tripepi Smith as Senior Business Analyst
Tripepi Smith proudly welcomed Barbara Beran, a resident of Palm Springs, to the team as its newest Senior Business Analyst in April 2025. A seasoned public relations and communications professional, Barbara brings more than a decade of experience in media relations, public affairs and strategic communications.
Barbara’s career began in San Diego, where she supported dozens of nonprofit organizations through targeted media outreach and strategic storytelling. Her early success in building strong media relationships laid the foundation for a career centered around elevating client voices across a range of sectors. Transitioning to the private sector, she later represented the San Diego County McDonald’s co-op and Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego, leading creative brand activations, collaborating with influencers and gaining global quick service restaurant (QSR) experience to her portfolio.
Motivated by a passion for the environment, Barbara expanded her expertise into public affairs. She supported water districts, municipalities and transportation agencies with stakeholder engagement, community outreach and event coordination. Her work in the water and sustainability space continued to grow as she collaborated with national and global water and wastewater manufacturers, technology leaders and an environmental law firm to elevate their voices in the fight for clean water.

Before joining Tripepi Smith, Barbara held positions at public relations firms including Katz & Associates and Nuffer Smith Tucker. Her work has been recognized for securing positive media coverage, building strategic relationships, improving public trust and advancing client goals through thoughtful, strategic communication.

Barbara holds a B.A. in Journalism and Media with a minor in English from San Diego State University.
