The City of American Canyon recently received a Silver Circle Award from the City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) for its Summer 2023 Parks & Recreation Guide, honoring the quality and creativity of the City’s communications.

Each year, government communicators from across the United States convene at the 3CMA Annual Conference to grow their skills and gain industry insights. The Savvy Awards are a key highlight of the conference, providing a forum to celebrate the best in government communications as hundreds of public agencies compete for this valuable recognition. Finalists are considered for three awards: Savvy, Silver Circle and Award of Excellence.

“We are incredibly honored to receive 3CMA’s Silver Circle award for our Parks & Recreation Guide,” stated American Canyon Communications Manager Jennifer Kansanback. “American Canyon seeks to provide residents with an exceptional experience as they live, work and play in our city — and this guide is one of many ways we accomplish that.”

As a longtime communications partner of the City, Tripepi Smith assisted with planning, content development, design and distribution of the guide. The brochure featured playful designs alongside key program and event details, successfully enhancing public participation in summer recreational activities.

“As Tripepi Smith supports American Canyon on a wide range of communication projects, it is a pleasure to see the City’s commitment to strategically engaging their community,” stated Senior Business Analyst Kaitlyn Wu. “Our team loves the opportunity to leverage our creative skills and pioneer new concepts. Reinventing this Parks & Recreation Guide allowed us to do just that. We’re thrilled that the guide has been recognized at the national level by 3CMA.”

American Canyon’s Parks & Recreation Guide also received an Award of Distinction from the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) in May for the Graphic Design – Print category. To learn more about Tripepi Smith’s award-winning projects, please visit TripepiSmith.com/Work.
