2019 ICMA ACTripepi Smith President Ryder Todd Smith will head to the International City/County Management Association (ICMA)’s 105th Annual Conference in Nashville, TN this October.

“The ICMA West Coast Regional Conference this past March blew me away with its adherence to the theme of innovation; I look forward to the continued line of conversation that’s likely coming up at the ICMA Annual Conference,” said Ryder. “It’ll be four days of learning and connecting with some of the top minds in local government across the world.”

ICMA’s annual conference is the largest event dedicated to local government management professionals. The conference, which will run from Oct. 20-23 at the Nashville Music City Center, will help attendees develop educational, information sharing and networking skills crucial in the local government space.

Over 4,000 attendees representing many different levels of local government from cities, towns and counties around the world are registered for the event. Attendees can choose between a broad offering of sessions that focus on six core themes: civic health, equity and inclusion, innovation, leadership, personal professional development and sustainability.

Outside of the sessions, professionals will have the opportunity to connect at numerous networking events. The conference also features presentations from four keynote speakers, including Jake Wood, the CEO of a non-profit that recruits military veterans to assist in disaster zones, and Bonnie St. John, a former official from the Bush White House and Paralympic skiing medalist.
