A recent study of US tablet users found that the devices are doing very well with the 25-44 age bracket, particularly in households with incomes of $100k or more. Nearly 3 in 5 tablet users live in households with income of $75K or more.

This is interesting data for anyone looking to sell goods or services online. If your business is looking to target men or women ages 25 to 44 with disposable income, it is wise to consider how your website displays on tablet devices, and to tailor your content for the touch screen platform.

It’s the touch screen that makes the tablet unique. It’s intuitive, easy, and frankly just fun. And for those reasons, we here at Tripepi Smith have recently become fans of Issuu, a digital publishing platform that integrates beautifully into desktop displays, but also responds perfectly to the touch screen format of the increasingly popular tablets.

Here’s what it looks like. Click or tap the “Read Now” button to see the publication in it’s full format.

It’s also great for distribution. Publications can be easily embeded on websites, with the codes to do so available to anyone. As the publisher, you can even add or remove options for your readers to share content online, or comment on what they read. Furthermore, no special software is needed by the end user. It’s the closest thing we’ve seen to documents distributed on paper, without ever having to hit “print.”

In a world that is turning increasingly paperless, Issuu software allows organizations to embrace new technology that was previously only available to companies with much deeper pockets.
