RWD logoIn an effort to modernize their website and make it more accessible to individuals using tablet devices, Rowland Water District recently enlisted the help of Tripepi Smith for a complete overhaul of their online presence.

The new site launched July 1, 2013 after a five month revision process starting with the creation of a website specification document and working through design, programming, content migration and quality checks.

“Tripepi Smith understands how public agencies function and is very responsive to staff requests,” said Ken Deck, General Manager of the Rowland Water District. “Inquiries from our end were generally addressed within the hour. Ryder and his team came to the table with ideas that were specifically well-suited to the work we do and clearly informed by their previous work with other public agencies.”

Included in the revamp was a complete redesign of the site, implementation of a design that responds to desk and mobile device visitors, connections to the district’s existing automated emergency alert system, a newsletter signup form, and a transfer of all forms to digital format. The new site integrates social media, board meeting agendas/minutes, and a dynamic Frequently Asked Questions page.

“Rowland Water invested in a new website to advance transparency and the sharing of information to its customers,” noted Ryder Todd Smith, president of Tripepi Smith. “The staff had a strong vision for what they wanted to accomplish and were great partners with Tripepi Smith in the effort. Projects like this take full advantage of Tripepi Smith unique skills of technology and local government public affairs.”
