Karen Villaseñor Advances Expansion of Tripepi Smith Team
Tripepi Smith begins the new year with the addition of Karen Villaseñor as the team’s third junior business analyst. Karen brings local government experience and insight to the team, having previously worked within the city manager’s office at the City of Walnut. With the firm’s client base anchored by numerous public agencies, including multiple cities throughout the California, her knowledge will assist Tripepi Smith in better serving clients in the local government sector.
“Working within the city manager’s office gave me a unique perspective into how local governments operate,” stated Karen. “Collaborating with the city manager and the management staff, as well as the community members and residents themselves, has fueled my passion for local government. Joining the Tripepi Smith team will give me more opportunities to support local governments from a different, but no less important, angle.”
Karen received her Bachelor of Science in Communication, with an emphasis in Public Relations, from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. During her academic instruction, she was awarded the President’s Student Research Travel Fund Scholarship and the Nitori Scholarship. Karen has delivered both in-depth research and hands-on work for various public agencies and organizations over the past few years. Her work with the City of Walnut resulted in increasing responsibilities for communications management in the City, particularly on social media.
